Mini Sessions at B. Lime!

May 4, 2011

I have been so lucky to get to meet many new cloth diapering families in town last month!  I want to say ‘thanks’ and B. Lime is helping me out.  B. Lime is sponsoring an event for six families to get a chance to have family portraits done without having to pay a session fee and they are going to give you a free print as well!

Galleries will be viewable for one week after the event so that any orders placed will be in by Father’s Day.

On May 21 there will be six time slots available:  3:00, 3:20, 3:40, 4:00, 4:20 and 4:40.  In order to secure one of these times please stop by B. Lime and grab a slot!  Let them know how many are in your group (up to four people), ages and any special needs.  Because this is a promotional event, a model release must be signed for every member of your group.  Please let me or B. Lime know if you have any questions!

The Great Cloth Diaper Change, tomorrow!

April 22, 2011

Tomorrow I will be at The Great Cloth Diaper Change which is an event where kids can become part of the Guinness Book of World Records.  Across the country at 11:30CDT registered participants will have their cute cloth diapers changed and be part of the biggest simultaneous change.  Kind of silly, yeah, but a lot of fun.

There will be a lot of free and fun activities for kids at the location at the old Pages for all Ages building in Champaign tomorrow morning.  Doors open at 10am!

Here are a few from my model this morning helping me get set up!

Autism Walk and Safety Fair

April 19, 2011

I was lucky to get to spend Sunday afternoon at the Autism Walk.  I got a lot of pictures, but my favorites are the ones of families supporting each other.  It is great to see support around a family who’s child has a diagnosis of a disorder on the Autism Spectrum.

There are more on facebook, but here are a few family pictures!

Mother’s Day mini sessions

April 13, 2011

I was trying to decide what I would like for Mother’s day.  And I couldn’t think of anything other than a bit of sleep and time with my family.  And maybe a few beautiful photos of my son.

One of the best gifts (besides time) is capturing it.  This Spring has come upon us suddenly and the new discoveries that children are making are fresh and new.

I am offering a limited number of Mother’s Day mini-sessions this year.  It is a half hour with your children with five digital files for social networking (watermarked and low resolution) along with a mounted 11×14 print for $100.

please email or comment below for times.  I have weekend and evening times available for the next two weeks.

This weekend : Boneyard Arts Festival

April 6, 2011

I have a very busy April coming up!  I will be at different events every weekend this month!  On April 7-10 Champaign County’s 40 | North 88 West is holding the annual Boneyard Arts Festival with over 500 different performing and visual artists featured throughout the community.

My pen + ink artwork will be up at Common Ground Co-op.  I am really excited by this because my artwork is so seasonal and inspired by local cycles and Common Ground embodies such a big part of local + seasonal.

I will be leaving my photography out of it for this weekend–I have a few large events coming up the rest of the month where people can get free photos and even win a photo session.  But for this weekend, head over to Common Ground and see some of my work!

Daffodils and Blackberries, Champaign Illinois

April 4, 2011

Those who know me know that I love fresh produce.  And I have a scraggly garden where I grow quite a variety of vegetables organically.  Last year we put some blackberries in and they are starting to come up!  And our first signs of spring, the daffodils have opened!  I’m planning a few photos with children and these bulb flowers before they fade away!
